How do I request custom work?

Please fill out an inquiry form which can be found by clicking the “Custom and Inquiry” button above, or at the bottom of the “Shop All” page. You will need to provide a budget, a timeline, the type of item, and general inspiration for the design if applicable. We will not replicate another artists work. We will not replicate a custom made for someone else. We may replicate certain designs that are out of stock, but this is not guaranteed. Allow 1-2 weeks for production of custom work, and 1-2 weeks for shipping.

Are pieces made to order?

For sterling silver pieces- the more you wear it, the more polished it will become. When not in use, keep pieces in dry containers to prevent tarnish. Should the piece begin to tarnish, clean the silver with a gentle cloth or silver polishing cloth.

For pieces with set stones- stones can be hardy, but each stone has a different level of durability. Be mindful and handle pieces with care to avoid damaging stones and settings.

Each order will come with instructions specific to the purchased item(s).

What is the return or exchange policy?

All sales are final, we do not accept returns at this time. However, if you are in NYC and are interested in exchanging a piece for one of equal value, we will do our best to accomodate.

We cannot accept exchanges by mail. Custom orders cannot be exchanged.

What is the repair policy?

Please fill out an inquiry form which can be found by clicking the “Custom and Inquiry” button above, or at the bottom of the “Shop All” page. Repairs are dependent on the item, the cause for damage, and the cost of repair.

If part of the jewelry becomes detached or a stone falls out we will do our best to repair it at no cost. If the stone or part of the jewelry is lost, the buyer may have to pay for the additional materials required. I cannot guarantee exact stone replacement, as we have a limited supply of most stones.

Silver may tarnish and scratch overtime with use. Although this is normal, if you are in NYC you may contact us regarding re-polishing.

The Core Collection consists of pieces that are integral to Planetary Motion. All of these pieces are made to order and will be reproduced regularly.

Limited Releases are small series of cohesive works developed outside of the core collection. Usually, stock will be limited by scarcity of some element of the design- stone, casted work, recycled materials. These pieces may be reproduced when possible; the item description will specify when something is one-of-a-kind.

One-Off (No. 00) pieces are unique, one-of-a-kind works that are ready to ship. These designs may be references for future work and can be used as reference for customs. However, nothing in this collection will be replicated exactly. In the case that you are interested in a one-off piece but it will not fit, please submit an inquiry form and we will work to accommodate you.

All pieces are made-to-order unless otherwise specified. All work is hand made and slight variations may occur. Please allow 1 week for production and 1-2 weeks for shipping.

One-Off designs and some Limited Release works are ready-to-wear and will be shipped immediately. Please refer to the item description to see if a piece is ready-made.

If an item is sold out in either category, you may fill out an inquiry form to express your interest in ordering the piece or something similar.
